Tired of driving to the gym only to wait for crowded classes and machines? Struggling to find motivation again after your favorite classes fizzle out? Are your workout DVDs collecting dust or is the treadmill the unofficial clothes rack? If so, don’t worry. We understand, and, we’ve got your back. We want to help you finish what you started. We want you to feel empowered, motivated, and excited about your fitness goals. We want you to never worry about being bored, or if you will ever finish. In fact, we want to ensure you Finish strong and finish it with Finish Fit®.

The essence of Finish Fit Boot Camp® is Cardio Strength Training or high Intensity Interval-style (HIT) training. This serves as an amazing fat-burning and body-transforming style of boot camp, and, it never becomes boring! You can go for weeks without ever repeating the same workout. From a psychological standpoint, this is tremendously helpful is fighting boredom and burnout. How many times have you lost interest in a workout DVD, or group ex class at a gym? In addition to keeping your workouts new and fresh, we want to make sure you leave each session with a little something extra: the activation of Excess Post Exercise Oxygen Consumption (EPOC) to trigger fat metabolism for 2-3 hours following your workout. It works like this: when the body depletes its sources of Oxygen during HIT training, it replenishes its O2 reserves following the workout. Since fat metabolism requires Oxygen, the body revs up it fat burning engines for several hours following your workout.

Here at Finish Fit®, we utilize the leading training modalities in the industry to get you the BEST results possible! From complexes, to density training circuits, On-Off circuits, and weights in traditional sets with goals of completing all sets as quickly and safely as possible, and, that’s not all. To top off an accelerated fat burning workout, we add metabolic “FINISHERS” to help flatten the stomach, firm and tone the body, and torch fat for hours after you’re done with your workouts. Why is this important? Because you will see faster results with less time and effort (see testimonials). What will be your favorite “FINISHER?” Even better question: how would you like to go on vacation and never put on a pound of weight? Well, the muscle mass you’ll add do to this type of training will speed up your metabolism and help you burn more calories while on vacation reducing the chances of substantial weight gain.

As previously mentioned, it’s important to us that you do not become bored with your programming, sail through plateaus, and, deliver on our proven fitness formula. In order to accomplish this, it is critical that your equipment is as varied and effective! We have an arsenal at our disposal, including, but not limited to: battleropes, kettlebells, dumbbells, agility ladders, push/pull sleds, TRX’s, cones, and MORE! We’ve got your back, and your abs!

Now that you are more familiar about our approach, we would like to put a buttoner on a common concern we hear regularly: this program seems like it’s for young athletes, not people just starting out. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Our certified trainers can easily manipulate the intervals and intensity to ensure that even a first timer who has hardly ever worked out would see the benefits of our classes. We are all inclusive, all levels, all abilities.


Nutrition

A solid training plan will take you in the right direction, but a rock solid nutritional guide will make the difference between the abs and ab-nots. We at Finish Fit® will make sure you have what you need in class and in the kitchen. All members will be set up with a Complimentary nutrition plan by a Precision Nutrition Certified Personal Trainer, based on body type. This nutrition plan begins with an individualized assessment, a huge value in itself. During the assessment, we will determine your somatotype, that is, are you a mesomorph (normal person), ectomorph (skinny trying to add muscle mass), or endomorph (big and stocky). Your goal (i.e. weight loss, weight gain, maintenance) will determine your Resting Metabolic Rate, and assign you a macronutrient (fats, protein, and cabs) percentage breakdown based on your body type and your goal. Every Sat. morning at 6:30 AM (30 min before boot camp) we will weigh you in, take your %body fat, and review your nutrition plan. Taking body fat measurements is extremely important to your success; 2 people could both weigh the same but person A could have a body fat of 10% and person B could be 20%. Clearly, the person with the lower body fat is far better off. Our goal is to consistently monitor your progress and make adjustments to ensure that your muscle mass increases or stays the same as you drop your fat mass so everyone “Finishes Fit”.


Classes

Members can attend 3 one-hour classes throughout the week:

Mon at 6:30 AM, Wed 6:30 AM, and Sun at 11:00 AM at Verdugo Park on the corner of Canada Blvd. and Colina Dr. in Glendale, CA. All members must attend their first Assessment prior to attending any boot camp sessions. For optimal results, Members are encouraged to attend the weekly assessment held every Sun. morning between 10:30 AM -11:00 AM prior to boot camp. The actual boot camp on Sun. mornings is held between 11:00AM - 12:00 PM.

Safety

Our first aid and CPR trained staff will always carry an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) and First Aid Kit to each session. Finish Fit® believes in the old Adage: "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!"
